After being selected for the 2nd Guangzhou International Watercolor Art Exhibition and winning the Excellence Award, my work “Old Town in Western Sichuan” was selected for the “3rd Guangzhou International Watercolor Art Exhibition” in 2024.

“Guangzhou International Watercolor Art Exhibition” is one of the two major international competitions in China’s watercolor society. The 3rd exhibition was held from September 28, 2024 to October 13, 2024.

Including the award-winning works, a total number of 277 works were selected in this exhibition from over 1000 applicants all cross the world. This time, the exhibition was held in two galleries at the same time, one is the Art Gallery of Guangzhou University of Technology, and the other one is Foshan Jiangzhang Art Gallery. My work is located in the first one.

My work “Old Town in Western Sichuan” shows the street scene of an historic town in western Sichuan, where has many well-preserved old towns. Those ancient streets and old buildings are organically combined with the life of the local residents. On the wet streets in a rainy day, it forms a wonderful contrast in the background of modern life, making people find the original meaning of life…
